Every time you publish a plugin, Tilt Base keeps it as a numbered version that never changes. The latest version is live: members' AI gets it through Tilt Base on its next request, so publishing is all it takes to update everyone. Nothing needs to be reinstalled.
A plugin's **Versions** page lists every version, newest first, with who published it, its skills and connectors, how often Tilt Base served it and when it last did. The live version is marked **Live**. You can download any version again, or restore one: its content becomes your unpublished changes, ready to publish.
## Tilt's updates
Tilt-managed skills follow Tilt's latest release automatically, so improvements reach your members as soon as Tilt releases them. To hold your organisation on an earlier release, choose it under **Tilt skills version** in organisation settings. Your organisation stays on it, with automatic updates off, until you choose **Latest (automatic)** again. If Tilt withdraws a release, organisations held on it return to the latest.
A skill the chosen release does not include is not available to members, and a plugin that uses it cannot be published until you remove the skill or choose a release that has it.
## Downloads and renaming
A downloaded plugin holds only launchers, which always retrieve the live version from Tilt Base. Upload a new download only when you add, remove or rename skills.
Your AI platform recognises a plugin by its address, which follows the plugin's name. Renaming a plugin changes its address, so the next download installs as a separate plugin rather than replacing the old one. Remove the old plugin from your AI platform, then upload the new download.
