Mobius processes your inputs through AI models from providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. Our commercial agreements with each provider ensure your data is not retained by them, not used to train their models, and routed only through regions that meet your requirements.
## Your data is not used to train AI models
Our agreements with AI providers — including **Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google** — prohibit:
- Retention of your inputs or outputs by the provider
- Use of your data to train or fine-tune their models
Where supported, these agreements include **Zero Data Retention (ZDR)** provisions, meaning your data is not held by the AI provider once processing is complete.
## Data residency and model routing
Mobius supports configurable model access controls. AI processing can be routed through regions that meet your jurisdiction's data residency or compliance requirements — whether that's Australian government work, EU-based matters, or sector-specific frameworks.
## Third-party processors
Every third-party vendor involved in processing your data — including AI providers — holds either **ISO 27001** or **SOC 2 Type II** certification. They process data on our behalf and cannot retain or use it for any other purpose.
## How long does Mobius retain your data?
Retention windows for processing logs and AI inputs/outputs are configured on a per-organisation basis. Your firm sets the window that meets your security, debugging, and compliance requirements.
This applies to operational data only. The documents, transcripts, and case files you actively store in Mobius persist for as long as you keep them in your matter or workspace.
